Jack, get real. The issue of social equity has nothing to do with the health care reform debate and you know it. What is has to do with is a huge power grab by the federal government, and most of the ppl in the country are sick to death of gov't power grabs, a la, TARP, bailouts and GM ownership. They do not want Obama to have one more iota of power.

Jack313 - Finally someone I can agree with...one former Republican to another. I've never posted anything before in my life, but the level of venom and ignorance I see here is frightening. If we can't have civil debate on important issues like healthcare, I fear for our democracy.
¡¡¡100% correct!!!
The media was not unfair to Palin. She not only had a history of misusing her power for personal vendettas, she was also an idiot. That is why the Republican party kept her underwraps. Everytime she opened her mouth she displayed her lack of sophistication and her lack of intelligence. She was selected because Senator Clinton did so well in her campaign. Palin probably lost the election due to her selection as well as the country being tired of being run into the ground by Bush. Obama did not spend any money on new clothes realizing that clothes don't make the man, nor did Biden. However, the republicans spend 200K on her clothes for her to wear for two months.
I could site numerous quotes that were stupid answers solely for the avoidance of saying I don't know. "I can see Russia from my backyard." She was clearly not the best choice McCain could've made. Could you imagine if McCain was unable to complete his term and Palin became president. The world is scarry enough.
